Project 1:

Presentation Board and Individual Reflective Essays

After conducting an analysis on the famous Villa Savoye by Le Corbusier, we were required to find out the historical and cultural background of the Villa Savoye, and then translate them into a presentation board where we verbally presented to the subject lecturer.

In the second part of this project we were to write an analytical research essay on the given building and Master architect in comparison with the work of another Master architect. The topic that I decided to take on was the materiality of the works of both architects, which is Le Corbusier's Villa Savoye and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater.

From these assignments, it was easy to recognise the works between the master architects and their dictums. This helped me to obtain a better understading of how their works, philosophies, dictums and inventions have preceded until later generations and identify their ingenious ideas that are still being used in current architectural consruction.
